I heart pyrex

ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved the colorful patterns of vintage pyrex. of course, when I was little, and it was my mom’s pattern, I didn’t consider it vintage, but I still loved it. my mom had 4 mixing bowls in this pattern, which she gave to me when I went to college. I wanted to learn to bake and needed mixing bowls. over the years, I’ve managed to sadly break the two smaller bowls and have always wanted to replace them. yesterday when I was baking oatmeal cookies, I decided to look it up. I found a group on flickr dedicated to pyrex love. and I decided I want some more pryex. different colors to add to my colorful kitchen. I like this one.

I remember your mom’s mixing bowls! I think we used them to make Rachel’s Peanut Butter Cookies! Ahh, the memories.

My mom has a set of Pyrex mixing bowls in this Spring Blossom Green pattern that I beg her for constantly! And though she has a thousand brand new Pyrex bowls and couldn’t care less about the old set, she won’t give them up! I think she’s waiting to leave them to me in her will…sheesh.

    great site Heather.

I saw some of those exact pattern, in the larger of the two mixing bowls, at my local Goodwill store. they were selling for $2 each! I’d suggest going there and scoping out some of your own!
