black + white

I love the look of black and white photos that aren’t black and white but rather a careful use of only black and white things that make up the composition. there is something so crisp and clean about stark white and oily black mixed together that is so visually pleasing to the eye. I really loved these photos from thussfarrell, the creative photography and styling of husband and wife pair, Rebecca Thuss and Patrick Farrell. {I could thank you for days for posting about this Ez, as I’ve been drooling over these images all morning.}

lately, I’ve been enjoying the last bits of day light shining into my apartment. the way the light shines into my window, it creates this gorgeous glow that lights up the whites and cools down the black. the photographic results have been perfect, especially in these two photos, which I created into a diptych – as suggested by Francesca. almost black and white, but not gray scale images. I’m challenging myself to find more black and white to photograph.
