it’s in the stitches

while I would looooove to be able to sew my own clothes, time and space are limiting me in that area right now. therefore, I find myself lucky to be in the company of so many talented women, who not only know how to sew, but create such wonderful garments with their talent. I love owning a limited design and when possible, I love picking out my own fabrics. plus, it’s such a great feeling to know that I’m supporting independent designers!
first, there was Shaybelle, then Wiksten, and these are my latest dress purchases.

a big yes to vain and vapid! i didn’t know about her work until recently, and it’s really quite lovely.
i keep telling myself to learn how to sew, but i know that i don’t have the patience for making things look as beautiful as jenny and all these wonderful designers do.
You’re so lucky to have these clothes. I seem to always reach for quantity over quality, but seeing these beautiful pieces makes me wonder why. And so often when I sew for myself I pick bright colors and busy patterns, yet I respond strongly to these simple designs. Thanks for sharing your style.
i love both dresses!! and i think the bottom photo is so cute :)
So cute! There’s a special satisfaction that comes with knowing NO ONE will be wearing your new favorite dress. Love it!

You look so cute in both. The pictures are great.
