how ’bout a ‘stache?

I’m constantly coming home from work and throwing my keys somewhere… anywhere. and I’m constantly spending time looking for them. when I was a little girl, my parents had a key rack in the shape of a tarpon beside the back door. while putting a key rack beside the door never seemed like a safe idea to me, a key rack in the apartment is a great idea. I like this mustache key holder lots.
I want to make one. get me some wood and a ban saw.

hi!

hi there! I hope everyone had a great weekend. mine consisted of some fun things to keep myself busy. I went berry picking {yea, I picked all of those berries!}, picked out some amazing food from the farm {best corn EVER}, explored Portland, made raspberry-blueberry jam, and enjoyed my time with myself. sometimes it’s hard not having someone to hang out with every second of the day, but other times, it’s fun to be alone. I listened to my music and danced my little heart out in my living room. fun way to spend a Saturday night!
ah, but back into the routine with Monday. why can’t the weekends last forever? who else is already ready for Friday again?

right this second…

I’m dreaming of:
huckleberry picking.
mountain hikes.
mountain lakes.
living a little.
film.
morning silence.
morning breezes.
running in open fields.
little surprises.
sharing a beer. {or two}
seeing him.
feeling him.
kissing him.

one week my love. one week. happy friday.

vain and vapid

I first discovered Julie of Vain and Vapid from another blogger, forgive me I can’t remember who, and I was immediatly taken by the fantastically feminine details of the collection. I love that her dresses are named after the Lisbon girls – so fitting, especially with the dreamy photography. I recently ordered the Jimmy Dress and Julie picked out the most beautiful hunter green linen for the dress. I love the newest addition to her shop, the Cecelia Lisbon Dress, which updates this afternoon at 6pm EST.

last.fm

let me take a break from the regular fashion and style blogging to share with you one of my favorite obsessions – last.fm.
I first discovered last.fm from the recommendation of dlb two summers ago and couldn’t be more happy with that discovery. last.fm, a social music community, is a place to listen and love music. with a free account you can create a music profile, see charts and stats for your musical taste, create widgets for your blog or other web pages, listen to personal radio stations based on the music you love, and discover new music, people and events. that’s not enough, you say? well, for $3 a month you can become a subscriber, which enables you to create playlists, listen to your “loved tracks”, and other special priorities.
this week last.fm unvieled a new version of their site. it’s quicker and much more organized. if you don’t yet have an account, sign up and starting listening. you’ll be happy, I’m sure.
