{from modern amusement, and thanks for the heads up to these lovely dresses, mrs. french}

this morning I’ve been enjoying the new-to-me sounds of Portland singer/songwriter Laura Gibson. her sound is just perfect for a Monday morning.

I’m feeling:
good, real good.
I’m developing quite a crush on:
crème brulee chai.
I’m finding that:
searching for the most amazing wedding venue that’s affordable is proving to be a challenge. {pssstt…. any suggestions lovely Portland friends? outdoors, garden, farm, orchard, the mountain….}
I’m excited to go to:
forecast this weekend with two lovely ladies.
I still think that:
Portland weather is weird.
and that’s all for now… happy weekend, friends!

so, a few months back I mentioned that I was up to something good. I’ve been working on a few projects actually, some that have debuted and others that are still under wraps. but here’s a clue of what’s to come.
when my friend Lauren got engaged, her first question to me was if I would design her wedding stationery suite. of course I said yes, and immediatly began thinking about letterpressing her invites. I quickly signed up for an intro class and began pressing on my own. for the invitations, Lauren wanted to concentrate on a monogram that could be used in multiple places for her ceremony and reception. of course I contacted the amazing Tara Jones, who I must say is the most wonderful person to work with. she wrote those pretty letters for the L & E monogram which I had made into a plate for letterpress. I designed and letterpressed the invitation and reply card as well as the envelopes and the escort cards for the table assignments.
I have to tell you friends, I’m beyond happy about letterpressing. I’ve had my heart set on doing it for years now, and now that I’m actually doing it, I couldn’t be happier. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be taking on a few custom wedding invitation orders a year. so if you’re interested, please send me an email.
next project in the works involves these pretty little stamps.
stay tuned for details!
