I love winter. I really do. but I have to say, I’m longing for the days when no coat is required and bare skin peeks out from under carefully styled clothes.
note to self: find the perfect skinny red belt and pretty red lipstick to match. and buy more pants!

Abby just alerted me to a new bakery in town, Lovejoy Bakers. I couldn’t be more excited, especially after the loss of my faaaaavorite lunch spot. I can’t wait to try it out. roasted beet salad, onion & leek frittata with organic sharp cheddar, pear ginger muffins?! I’m so there.
I’ve been struggling with my hair style for years now. grow it long, chop it short, hate it short so grow it long again. it’s a never ending cycle that I’m ready to kick. {confession – I haven’t even trimmed my hair other than my bangs in over a year!!} I’ve been browsing images and can’t seem to come up with a good in between style.
I like this girl’s bangs. thick, parted to the side and neatly trimmed above her eyebrows. and isn’t she cute with her red lipstick?

these Ashley Watson lookbook photos are the perfect things to browse through while Portland receives it’s first blanket of snow this winter.

I’m excited to welcome the newest sponsor to Unruly Things, Revolving Styles. a perfect vintage shop with fantastic things for women and men!! check out the shop, blog and twitter for updates, and thanks Anna!
update: for the month of January, Anna would like to offer Unruly Things readers a special 10% discount! just enter “Unruly Reader” during checkout or convo her before and she’ll adjust the price.
I love the 50′s pinup vibe from the Current Elliot Spring ’10 collection.
doesn’t it seem bonkers to be thinking about Spring already? and even more crazy to think about 2010?!

I’m totally excited:
my mom is en route to Portland. it’s her first time here!
I can’t wait:
for dlb to open up his super awesome amazing gift.
secretly I wish:
it would snow on Christmas day. tiny flakes. not like the arctic blast ’08. but… I’m happy we’ll get sunshine.
here’s to wishing you a:
joyful holiday!!!
merry christmas and happy holidays to all!!
