introducing… mossière

hi friends!! I hope you had a fantastic weekend.  mine sure was.  complete with ladies night, movies, torrential downpours, pizza and relaxation.

I’m excited to share some news with you today.  maybe you noticed when you’ve tried to locate Postal Press lately that it forwards to a new site.  ever since I’ve been designing and printing under the names Seventy & Sunny AND Postal Press AND having Unruly Things, you can imagine it being a little difficult when having all these different email address signatures, setting up advertising or filing for taxes.  for a while now, I’ve been wanting to have one business name to bundle all of our businesses under and we’ve finally settled on a name.

dlb and I have decided to call our new endeavor, Mossière.  when I started thinking of an all encompassing business name, I really tried to nail down my aesthetic, what really fit my design and what I wanted to portray.  if you’ve seen my tumblr site before, it started as a place for inspiration and ideas to flow from.  as you know, I am completely inspired by utilitarian goods and natural wonders, so what better way to share them with you than to open a shop filled with such goodies!  I feel that Mossière really fits the style of shop we aspire for and the look that we’re all about.

Mossière will specialize in utilitarian & nature inspired goods, housewares and art, as well as custom design and letterpress.  we’ll be debuting our goods at Little Winter, a really awesome handmade market here in Portland November 6 & 7.  we’ll be selling original prints & our 2011 calendar, bits of entomology, natural sciences & botany, and handmade vintage inspired jewelry.  hope to see you there!!
