christmas decor

christmas decor

this year, more than ever, I’m excited to decorate our house for the holidays.  we’ve got a really pretty red door which I’ve already hung a wreath on and a huge picture window in the front that I’m hoping {or hoping dlb will} drape some twinkling lights outside.  even though we won’t be in Portland for Christmas, we’re planning to get a tree this week so we can enjoy it while we’re here.  I’ve been wanting to get a few more things to spruce up the house to make it a little cozy and to me, this set up is nearly perfect.  not too flashy and honestly, I think I’d leave it around all winter long.

what about you?  how do you decorate for the holidays?

cute winter

last week we had temperatures dip into the 20s and teens.  whenever it gets that cold, I drag my big, puffy down jacket out of the depths of my closet and off I go.  while I always get compliments on my coat, I never feel “cute”.

I love this gal’s snow outfit and giant scarf.  she manages to look cozy AND cute!

I’m particularly excited about:
apple pecan cornbread stuffing and
cranberry frangipane tart {I normally make this at Christmas, but decided I couldn’t wait!}

I’m so so thankful:

to have wonderful friends like you readers.  thank you so much for your sweet comments about our news!  the love is so amazing in the blog world.

I’m working on:
illustrating our Christmas cards!
designing a logo for Unruly Little Things.

BLACK FRIDAY:  we’ll be updating our shop with pyrite necklaces, quartz drops and more, plus this weekend only, our calendar will be 10% off!!

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, friends.  chat to you Monday!
