it’s been one of those weeks. I blame it on summer. sunshine and lakes and the back yard pool call to me. plus, my freelance work has been picking up leaving me working away during Wolf’s napping hours. I can’t complain, I’m just having trouble finding time to write in this space. especially where there’s so much good out there. but I’m working out a schedule. ’cause it seems like I need one.
but… when you can’t find me here, I’m sometimes here or here.

ENJOY your summer. i understand the pressure to get consistent with blogging and getting your work out there, but summer is such a beautiful time to excuse yourself from the table and ENJOY life. xo.
We are renting too. This is our second summer in our little apartment, and we still have one more to go. Last year I had the same thinking as your husband, and didn’t do much to our little patio. We also have a small patch of dirt that leads out onto the shared lawn. All I did was set up our little charcoal BBQ and two fold out camping chairs. This year I thought to myself that just because we are renting doesn’t mean I can’t make it HOME. So I planted bulbs. Got some lightly used patio chairs. Potted plants, planted vegetables, put some stepping stones in and even bought a swing to hang from the patio above us for our little. Now we spend so much time on the deck eating popsicles, pushing C in her swing and reading books. So, go ahead and spruce! I am sure you will be glad you did.
