ever since I saw this pin on a beautiful sun print tutorial, I haven’t been able to get sun printing out of my head.  I’ve ordered silk sun print fabric and have worked out a deal with the neighbors down the street to pick some of their poppies in trade for something sun printed.

while doing a little research today, I came across these beautiful hand sun printed fabrics from South Africa.  so pretty, right?

    I was a photo major in college back in the days of film photography. One of my favorite classes was on alternative printing processes and included a section on cyanotypes. We had to mix our own emulsions before printing; these ideas bring the concept to a whole new level! I’m thrilled that the company Anna mentioned sells at reasonable prices. I’m dying to make a silk scarf (traditional blue on white)! Now, what to print on it…
