marfa_print_scarf_on_full_sm

Martha just released her holiday Handcraft collection this morning in her shop.  I was completely smitten with everything in the shop, but I managed to score one of her wrapped fabric necklaces.

there’s a few things left in her shop, snag them while you can!!

the supersecret hiding hood

grey_hood_web

so… I splurged a bit today.  but for good reason.  last year I searched high and low for the perfect hooded scarf.  even after begging my grandmother to make me one, it was too chunky to be worn as a hood and I wear it as a neck warmer.

when I saw Abby’s post about plainmadeRETAIL, I had to click over.  suddenly there was a hood in my shopping cart.

SO so good.  super early christmas present to me.  and I’d bet if you’re looking for a good gift, you probably know someone who might enjoy one of these too.

silver sage organic

ok you Tampa people, this one is especially for you! Silver Sage Organic, the newest and only eco-friendly boutique in Tampa, has just opened it’s doors. everything in the store from hair & skin care, handbags, home decor, jewelry, stationary, baby gifts is organic, all natural or made from recycled materials. owner, Amanda Brzozowski, has done a wonderful job of expressing her passion for the environment by giving South Tampa a place to indulge in boutique shopping. I can’t wait to check it out on my next trip home to Tampa.

a thoughtful gift

Ali and I have said many times how much we think alike.  little did we know that in our separate cities {and probably the same moment} we were each thinking about sending each other a pretty little package in the mail.  when I got home from work on Friday, this was waiting for me, bundled up tightly in a bubble wrap mailer.

Ali, I love the skeleton keys and I love the marshmallows.  I love that you thought of giving me a key.  a few weeks ago, when Jess gave me a key for my birthday I had a thought: wouldn’t it be awesome if I had a collection of skeleton keys that were either found or given to me as random gifts? {note: I lost focus on that idea as I was digging through a bowl full of keys while antique shopping the very next day…but anyhooo}  I think that a gifted/found key collection is a wonderful idea, therefore, I could not be happier with your kindness.  thank you Ali!
{and not to mention, I’m a little sweeter with the taste of those marshmallows still lingering on my tongue!}
