I often see wedding dresses and it makes me want to get married all over again so I can wear them. but all the planning? I’ll just take the party next time thankyouverymuch!
this dress is so pretty and practical. I mean come on, recycled lace & cotton, plus pockets!!!

I love love love this wedding shot by my friend Kimi Kolba. looks familiar, right? it took place at the same location where dlb and I got married. plus, Ann took some rad polaroids too. sigh… Kimi has such a way with light doesn’t she? remember this photo she took of me?
and how amazing is that giant Tillandsia xerographica for the bride’s bouquet? Kimi told me it was designed by Solabee Flowers here in PDX.

putting my hair up in a ponytail is my go-to style when I’m feeling lazy. however, I’m always looking for a way to refresh the style. I wore my hair in a side-ponytail for our wedding with pieces of hair kind of swooped around.
do you ever wear your hair in a ponytail? here are 22 different ways to wear a ponytail.

not that I don’t love my engagement ring, but the thought of having just a simple band to wear often occurs to me. I love these two options from Cat Bird.
psst… some pretty monogram rings. I got the W.

this elopement from photographer Jill Thomas is so pretty. I love the bride’s cardigan and those vintage rugs.
p.s. here are some photos from our wedding last summer!

this time last year I was deep into the planning for our summer wedding. loosely based on a vintage woodland theme, I was constantly bookmarking pretty nature inspired pieces for ideas. when I spotted this dress today I thought how perfect it would be for a nature inspired summer wedding! it’s even titled the Petiole Dress.
petiole dress // airplants for your hair // aesa necklace // satomi kawakita ring // nars lipstick // butter london polish // clare vivier clutch // no. 6 clogs // vintage floral prints

I’ve been trying to be more creative with my hair lately. it’s getting so long and I just don’t want to cut it off – at least just not yet – but it is getting pretty boring. last week I tried out heidi braids and over the weekend I did two pigtail braids and pinned them up at the base of my neck. today I tried this hair tutorial from A Cup of Jo. I didn’t really follow the steps and just kind of winged it but I think it turned out pretty good! hop over to Joanna’s blog for a full tutorial.
{sorry for the iphone pics – I’m going swimming at the gym in a few and won’t have time to take a proper photo before the sun goes down.}
