putting my hair up in a ponytail is my go-to style when I’m feeling lazy.  however, I’m always looking for a way to refresh the style.  I wore my hair in a side-ponytail for our wedding with pieces of hair kind of swooped around.

this time last year I was deep into the planning for our summer wedding.  loosely based on a vintage woodland theme, I was constantly bookmarking pretty nature inspired pieces for ideas.  when I spotted this dress today I thought how perfect it would be for a nature inspired summer wedding!  it’s even titled the Petiole Dress.

I’ve been trying to be more creative with my hair lately.  it’s getting so long and I just don’t want to cut it off – at least just not yet – but it is getting pretty boring.  last week I tried out heidi braids and over the weekend I did two pigtail braids and pinned them up at the base of my neck.  today I tried this hair tutorial from A Cup of Jo.  I didn’t really follow the steps and just kind of winged it but I think it turned out pretty good!  hop over to Joanna’s blog for a full tutorial.
