my friend and jewelry designer Satomi Kawakita just got married over the holiday season.  she sent me a link to her wedding photos and I loved her dress so much, I begged her to let me share with you.  I love that it looks like feathers and how fantastic does it look with those little black boots?  can’t help that there’s a pretty lady wearing it too!  I’m also kind of dying over the fact that she wears 7 rings on her left hand middle finger and 14 rings on her right!  swoon!

Satomi mentioned that she just got tons of interesting diamonds last week that she’s super excited to work with.  her next collection will be filled with one-of-a-kind diamonds and I can’t wait to see them.

I’m sure the news and photos of Anthropologie’s new wedding line, BHLDN, has already reached from one end of the blogosphere to the other, but I simply couldn’t resist posting about the jewelry.  it’s a beautiful collection, especially these pieces by Melissa Joy Manning and Katie Diamond.

I love Anja’s foraged flowers and pine cones in her hair.  wouldn’t something like this be beautiful for a forest or outdoor wedding?

right before the holidays, I received this gorgeous hexagon diamond ring from Satomi Kawakita.  I’ve mentioned previously my love for her work, but I was literally speechless when I opened up the ring box to see this sparkly little ring shining up at me.  the diamond is the most beautiful brown colored stone that varies from pale chocolate to almost pink depending on the lighting I’m in and I’m just head over heels for that hexagon setting.

if you have the opportunity to work with Satomi, I highly, highly recommend her.  I just can’t say enough about how wonderful she is.  her jewelry is so unique and timeless and she is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, if only virtually!  she’s away from her shop right now getting married in Japan {congrats Satomi!} but be sure to check out her site and prepare to drool over the gorgeousness in the meantime.
