every year, my mom and I would pick out Godiva chocolate bars for my teachers, the mailman, our yard man and anyone else who we felt deserved a small “we’ve thought of you this Christmas” gift.  wouldn’t these fancy chocolate bars from Mast Brothers be a perfect twist on tradition?  the packaging is so festive.

this year, I made myself a strict rule to not post anything holiday related until after Thanksgiving.  sure, it’s been on my mind {a LOT} but I decided to wait.  now that the turkey is all gobbled up, on to holiday fashion!!

I just love these dramatic lookbook shots from Portland local Yo Vintage.  the collection is called Fool’s Gold and it consists of lots of sparkly, fancy attire.  how great is that top shot, photographed in front of the Brave Star Pendleton blanket?!  hello blue sequins!  check out the shop online.

I can’t stop thinking about these glittery socks from the No. 6 lookbook.  how perfect are they for the holidays or just some general glam?  I did some digging and found these pretty ones from Comme des Garcons and Maria La Rosa but they come with a spendy price tag for poly or rayon blend socks.  anyone seen any cute metallic socks out there?

dlb and I got home from our white Christmas in Idaho yesterday and I wish I never had to leave!  I always feel like it’s truly winter in the snow.  we went snowshoeing, played “stick” with the resident polar bear dog, made snow ammo, ate lots of yummy food & sweets, opened presents on Christmas morning and had a wonderful time together as a family.  I hope your Christmas was all you’d wished for!

I thought I’d show you a bit of our Christmas decorations since I’ve been posting decor inspiration none stop this season.  we settled for red lights last year because the stores were out of white but I’ve really grown to like them a lot, especially with all of our colorful animal ornaments!  I love those little vintage brass deer so much and I picked up our stockings at a sample sale, but you can purchase them online here.
