hello + little winter

little winter

hi friends!  sorry I haven’t posted anything this yet week, I’ve been a bit under the weather.  seems I’ve caught a little bug!  boo!

anyway, I wanted to drop in and say hello.  Little Winter was a blast.  Abby & Chelsea did a truly amazing job with everything.  the set up was perfect!!  thanks so much to everyone who came out and introduced themselves!  you guys are amazing.

for those of you who couldn’t make it, be sure to watch this pretty video by Anja and pretend you were there for just a minute.  {that’s our Imagination poster in the window at the beginning of the video!}

you can view more photos from Little Winter right here on the Little Winter flickr stream.

chat with you soon friends!

this weekend…

little winter

Little Winter is the place to be this weekend!  in case you haven’t heard about it, Little Winter is a handmade market featuring 20+ artists and craftspeople from Portland and beyond.   it will be held this weekend, November 6 +7, at The Cleaners at The Ace Hotel in Portland, Oregon.  I’ll be there – selling original prints, our 2011 calendar, bits of entomology, natural sciences & botany and handmade vintage inspired jewelry.

plus, we’re having a party!  this Friday, November 5, we’d love for you to join us for an informal meet and greet – complete with treats and drinks {did someone say cupcakes?} and great conversation.  you can see more details about the party here.

if you’re in Portland this weekend or anywhere close, I hope you stop by and say hello!!

bridge & burn

bridge and burn

last week I mentioned that I had a new jacket I’ve been wanting to tell you about.  here it is!  dlb took a few photos of me at the pumpkin patch this weekend and I thought I’d share!

I’d been hunting high and low for the perfect jacket for fall, so when Erik from Portland local company Bridge & Burn contacted me a few weeks ago about his latest collection of jackets, I knew I’d found the one.  the Castle Jacket is SO perfect.  it’s lined with flannel and super comfortable.  I think I’ve worn it every day since it arrived in my mailbox!!

be sure to check out the other great jackets {mens too!} available at Bridge & Burn.  I think my next B&B jacket will be the Bonnie Waxed motorcycle jacket.  love!

{on a side note, my hair is SO long!!!}

mia tote

thanks so much for your sweet comments on my previous post.  I don’t like to post photos of myself that often.  {or actually, I take a photo of myself then realize how silly I look and don’t post it!}  but dlb took that photo of my yesterday and for once, I liked it!

now, to answer your questions about my purse!!  some of you may know, I’ve been madly on the hunt for a new bag for awhile now.  a bag that I can carry my lunch in, a change of clothes, shoes, my sigg, and everything else I might carry in my purse – all at once.  I’ve been toting around an old bright red Patagonia Half Mass bag for AGES and while I love it, it just wasn’t stylish.

enter Ellington.

the amazing ladies at Ellington contacted me a few weeks ago to let me know about their bags and I was thrilled.  not only did I find the perfect bag, but they are a local company!  I hopped on my bike and headed to their location in NW Portland to pick up my new fancy Mia Tote.  and yes… it can hold ALL of those items above and fits into my bike basket AND has a cross body strap.  success!
