right this second…

I’m:
SO happy it’s Friday.  and a long weekend!!!  it’s been a doozy of a week.

being a fan of sneak peeks, I thought I’d give you another peek of our wedding invitations.  originally I’d planned on showing you our full invitation today, but I decided to wait until after the wedding.  it’s only 42 days away, so you won’t be waiting long.  {42 days, yikes!}  I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend, friends!!

a succulent inspired wedding

a few weeks ago, I headed to Siesta Key, Florida for a wedding between two of my dearest friends.  they share my love of succulents and really wanted to incorporate them into their flowers and invitations.  the bride’s bouquet, by Bloom Garden Shop, included succulents, apricot roses, green amaranthus, star of bethlehem and my favorite, scabiosa pods.  isn’t it stunning?!

for their wedding stationery suite, we went with an illustration of a sempervivum succulent, blind embossed on the invitation and rsvp, then printed in a pale grey on their ceremony programs.  the results turned out beautiful, if I do say so myself, and tied in seamlessly with their flowers.  the design and letterpress was done by me and the gorgeous calligraphy was done by Mara from Neither Snow.

they’re off!

I’m on my way to the post office to FINALLY mail out our wedding invitations.  after a serious UPS fail which involved our pretty hand-written envelopes ending up in Texas, they are stamped and ready to go.  now the real fun begins.  and there’s no turning back now!  I’ll post photos of what’s inside closer to the wedding.

pretty kraft tags

I’ve been producing so much new letterpress work lately {on top of planning our wedding, blogging and living} that I’ve hardly had the chance to photograph any of it.  lucky for me, the lovely Hannah Elise, of the clothing line Bekväm, took beautiful photos of the letterpress hang tags I just finished for her Spring – Summer collection.  I’m pretty much dying over her new Scalloped Dress.

in other Postal Press news, I’ve been working on a few new posters to add to the shop, as well as working on some custom wedding invites and business card designs that I can’t wait to show you.  an update will come soon.

new from postal press

I’ve just updated Postal Press with some fun new things, including a limited edition Imagination Poster as well as some new customizable stationery.  see what’s new here.

I’ve been having fun printing on manila tags.  I printed an edition tag to include with the Imagination Poster which turned out really great.  I also just finished a save the date for two of my friends that I letterpressed onto the tag.  I thought would be really cute if the tags were hung from calendars to save their date.  the tags were attached to a digitally printed card and wrapped with a little piece of paper to instruct how to use it.  I thought they turned out really cute and I’ve decided to list a set in my shop if you’d like a fun, unique way to send out your save the date too!
