the PDX Bazaar at Sandbox Studios at 420 NE 9th Avenue, Portland on December 10-11, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  so many good vendors, I can hardly stand to wait.

I’m SO glad it’s finally the weekend!  it was a long week.  dlb and I are doing a little celebrating in honor of his birthday that involves coffee stout, carrot cake and lots of relaxation.  what about you, do you have anything fun planned?

I’m raising a glass and toasting because:
tomorrow marks 5 years since I started writing Unruly Things.  FIVE YEARS!!!

when I look back, I think of how much I’ve grown with you:
I met the man of my dreams.
I moved across the country.
I made lots of really great friends.
I got creative.
I got engaged.
I got married.
I had a baby.
and all along, I shared it with you.

when I first decided to start this blog, I don’t think I ever would have imagined that I’d be blogging for as long as I have.  I never imagined that I’d be putting together daily posts for such a dedicated audience and I surely never imagined that I’d be sharing so much about my life to you – my friends, family and people I don’t even know.  blogging is pretty surreal if you think about it.  I’m so humbled at what Unruly Things has become – sometimes I pinch myself to make sure it’s real.

so thank you for reading.  thank you for continuing to help Unruly Things grow into what it’s become.  I’ve got lots of new things in store, some reworking of the format plus a brand new design.  cheers to 5 years!!!

Kate & Will.  if you haven’t heard, please take a minute to read about their situation on Kate’s blog.  Kate & Will have set up their shop in attempts to raise money to help with Will’s hospital debt.  as if you needed an excuse to purchase one of Kate’s rad prints anyway, right?  she’s pretty awesome, that Kate.  I like the circle prints the best.  read more their fundraiser here.  my thoughts are with you guys.  xo
