Guatemalan inspired textiles from Archive New York

Vintage Guatemalan Inspired Textiles + Pillows from Archive New York | Unruly Things

I just adore these pillows from Archive New York, created by textile designer Amira Marion. she recently launched two beautiful collections : a digital collection in which she prints replications of vintage fabric fragments on to silk and a woven collection in which she worked with non-profit Maya Traditions and local Guatemalan weavers to recreate some traditional woven textiles. swoon, right?! see both collections here.

currently coveting : fall arrivals at Myth & Symbol + 15% off!

myth & symbol | drawing by Chau Nguyen for Unruly Things

like I said, I’m totally not ready to start talking Fall BUT with new arrivals this good, I just have to share. Myth & Symbol is one of my all-time favorite spots to haunt for brands like Ace & Jig, Black Crane, Rachel Comey and Ilana Kohn, to name a few. Chau asked me to pick my favorites from the latest arrivals and she illustrated them, just for Unruly Things. how amazing are these?!

I’m loving the Ace & Jig Peasant Mini dress, those Odette snake studs {seriously – swoon!} and that Lauren Manoogian shawl. the perfect outfit, perhaps paired with these Dieppa Restrepo booties. I could live in it all season long.

bonus – from today until Monday August 11, take 15% off your entire order with code UNRULY. perfect excuse to get that fall wardrobe started.

the ladies at Garmentory asked me a few questions about my favorite things. read my Q&A here.

speaking of Garmentory, have you ever heard of it? it’s is a fantastic site which offers clothing from various boutiques and brands at discounted prices. see something you like? make an offer on it. if your offer is accepted, your item will ship directly from that boutique and if not, try again! such an amazing concept. here’s a few things that I’m eyeing.

for the dudes : pacific standard bags

for the dudes : pacific standard bags | unruly things

always a fan of the goods coming from Bridge & Burn, it’s no surprise that I found myself wishlisting their newest collection of waxed cotton bags – not only for me, but for my husband too. made in collaboration with Clinton Street Bag Company {more fun stuff on them later!} and handcrafted in the Pacific Northwest.

made of 10oz waterproof waxed canvas with heavy twill reinforced bottoms, super sturdy brass hardware, rain-flaps to keep the PNW weather at bay, the bags are meant to stand up to all the demands of daily life. the backpack has exterior access to the padded laptop sleeve, and the duffle has a snap down, extra-large opening to the main compartment that offers easy access while you pack. they’d be perfect for the dude in your life, plus there’s a tote and a ladies bag, too!
